  1. Suitable growing media

Orchids are tropical and epiphytes; therefore, they need special growing media. They flourish well in soilless mixtures as Orchids can easily be killed when planted in soil. It is best to buy commercially prepared Orchid growing media.

  1. Appropriate container

There are different types of container for Orchid plants. Plastic and clay pots are commonly used for this purpose. You just need to make sure that these container or pots have additional drainage holes on the sides, near the bottom of the container.

  1. Proper air circulation

Proper air circulation is extremely essential for the good health of the Orchid plant. It is important because it helps in healing the plant from fungal or insect infestation, and also keeping the leaves and blooms from getting dried.
