Punta Cana has risen to the top vacation destination in the Dominican Republic and in the entire Caribbean in fact. Going self-catering on holiday is a great opportunity to experience live as a local. After all, locals tend to congregate at the local markets where they buy fresh produce and swap gossip with their neighbours. This is a great place to see the place that exists outside of the tourist resort, Alcudia holds a market twice a week on Sundays and Tuesdays all year around. If you’ve booked Alcudia hotels with self-catering facilities then why not make the most of these facilities and shop for goods at the market. It does help your haggling if you speak a little Spanish, but as most of the stall holders speak English it really isn’t necessary. Olives and cured hams are great things to pick up and at excellent prices, but try some of the cakes which are often hand-cooked by locals particularly the honey varieties. Inside the walls of the market are several restaurants and bistros where you can enjoy traditional food from Majorca.
Renting a Car on Our Florida Vacation!

Over the summer, my husband and I took a vacation to Ft. Lauderdale in Florida. We had never been to Florida before so we were really excited to go. We took a plane and decided to rent a car to get around better. Beforehand, we had researched where to get good Ft Lauderdale car rentals. We ended up renting a cute, little convertible and were soon cruising the Florida streets with the top down. It was such a great idea to rent a car! At first we had considered just taking taxis since we didn’t know the area, but we rented a car with a GPS device instead. It was a good call on our part. We had total freedom and could drive anywhere we wanted on a whim. We explored so many places and stopped wherever we saw anything interesting. I loved that rental car so much, I wanted to take it home with me! We are planning another vacation next year and I know we’ll be renting another little convertible!

My brother and his wife just got back from a trip. Both of them absolutely love to travel and they have been to more than 40 countries around the world. They always go to very interesting places and I love to hear about their travel experiences. They are going to come over tonight to tell me about the latest trip that they took. They went to the Maldives. I have seen a couple of pictures that they took while they were there and it seems like the islands that they visited were absolutely beautiful. They did a lot of scuba diving and spent a lot of time on the beach. When they come over tonight they are going to show me the rest of their pictures and tell me about their whole experience. Muscat Holidays Are Wonderful

Planning our muscat holidays became very exciting. We wanted a five star hotel that was on or close to the beach. We found the Al Bustan Palace Muscat which sat right on a 200 acre private beach. It is one of several Oman hotels that furnish a relaxing setting. A view of the mountains and the lush green gardens from the muscat hotels window is a real joy. They have five outdoor swimming pools to keep everyone cooled off and five dining rooms that gave everyone a real good choice of different foods. We took a private tour to learn the traditions and culture of Muscat. Our first stop was a unique visit to the Grand Mosque. It is famous for its amazing pray carpet. This is a hand woven carpet that measures 4343 square metres and is known to be the largest in the world. We went to the Natural History Museum to learn more about the culture and history of Muscat. The best place to shop is the Muttrah Souk. They sell the traditional Omani items. These made wonderful souvenirs for us to take back home. We also made a stop at the Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace where we took tons of photos. This tour was a real experience. The best holiday we ever had was our trip to Muscat, Oman. Muscat holidays is a very cultural learning experience. We hope to return on another holiday soon.

Hostel; the New Way Forward

Hostel or rather hostels I think are likely to grow in popularity. As more people are travelling, abroad and in this country (UK) but do not have so much disposable income they are looking for cheap options. There are now I understand a number of elder hostels though I don’t know how this fits with the ageist legislation. Maybe it would be better to label them by type or aspiration, or .don’t mind’. Ie we don’t mind if you come back loud and drunk hostel versus ‘we do mind, this hostel is for peace and quiet’. This would seem a better way of doing things. In some way it already happens as you can read the reviews on a hostel to know who they attract and who they want to attract. I tend to stay clear of party hostels as I am not a drinker and I can feel uncomfortable when people come back in the dorm drunk.

A Small Wedding

I have been trying to help my sister plan her wedding. We are looking online for a good wedding hotel South Wales. There is just going to be a small group of family and close friends that is going to be attending her wedding. We want to try to book most of the rooms in the hotel and be able to spend the weekend with everyone. I like how my sister wants to have a small private affair. I think that it goes perfect with her personality. She is not shy, but she is reserved and is only open with the people she knows very well. She is also extremely close to us and a couple of her friends. I think that she would feel very sad if she was only able to spend a couple of hours with friends at a reception after the wedding and then go away on a long trip. Her fiance has a similar personality.
